Reports have also suggested that Liverpool are ready to send out-of-favour Italian winger Federico Chiesa to Napoli in an attempt to drive down their asking price of £67 million (€80m) for Kvaratskhelia. However, Reds boss Slot has tried to suggest the Premier League leaders are not currently looking into a deal for the Georgian winger.
WHAT SLOT SAID
When asked what he made of those recent reports, Slot replied: "What I make of that is it is January. I think I said it after the West Ham game that don't disappoint me, please come up with all these clubs and all these players that are in the interest from us or the ones that don't play a lot for us are going to go somewhere else! Yeah, that's what's happening now.
"Nine out of 10 times, 99 times out of 100 times in the end of the window, it's been clear that almost all of these stories weren't true. So, what can I comment about it? That the rumours keep going for it, but no comments from my side."

After a fantastic start to life at Liverpool, Slot's side have seen a blip in performances over the last few games. As such, the Dutchman will be keen on sorting out this dip when the Reds take on Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup third round on Saturday, January 11.
